A once in a life time experience we have encountered in Israel is sleeping in the Bedouin tent and riding the camels. Throughout this journey we learned that some families consist of 23 children and the camels are very scary creatures that like to bite. the food tat the natives served was very flavorful and the experience was exotic. We learned how to play the drums at night and we had a bonfire. This interactive experience with the Bedouins brought our group closer together and had opened our eyes to the life styles of different people. When we came to the tent wehere we were supposed to sleep we were shocked to see that a group from Massachutes also knew the Zeben Zeben dance. this interaction with the teens allowed us to make new friends and learn their version of the dance. one of our favorite parts of the day was the camels. that experience allowed us to test the strength of our vocal cords and amazed us to how beautiful the camel is.
Our Israel Story
Throughout our time with the Jew Crew we have been able to establish a connection which bonded us together. At the Shabbaton we were able to meet new people and grow closer as a "family". We both have chosen to go on the art track in ARTEL which allows us to express ourselves in a way that we feel connected to Israel and our Jewish roots. During the Shabbaton we were able to create a strong bond with our religion and our fellow travelers. Our paintings represent the safety of the Jewish people and the beauty of Israel. We are both very excited to spend time with our new friends in a new country. This will be an experience that we will never forget and cherish forever.
